sun visor vanity light feature bypass

Topic starter

i have a 2006 lexus es330. the car has a feature where if the vanity light is on, it will turn off when the sun visor is moved past a certain angle. i am wondering if there's a way to bypass this feature and have it stay on regardless of the sun visors position. tia

Not sure if that would be safe driving at night as that could create vision interference, and that is why it is turned off. But if you must have that light on all the times, there must be a switch at the mirror's swivel that triggers on/off switch, and you will need to short cut it to make it on all the time, but I would not recommend you do that for safety.

should have stated i want it always on because i replaced all my interior lights with uv leds so my vision will not suffer at night will only be used for aesthetic

RIP your night vision.

As it is, humans already have poor night vision -

Ever wondered why all cabin lights are turned off during a nighttime take off, in aeroplanes?
