Dear Scotty ,
I purchased a 2011 Lexus gx 460 premium with 85000 miles the car works great but there is a weird vibration that I can always replicate at 40 to 45 miles per hour. As soon as I step on the gas it goes away.
I change the tires (wild peak falken )
rotate them and balance I force balance them as well. I grease the drive shaft and take it to Lexus for inspection and they told me the two rear tires were not good I change them and force balance them again put the problem is still there.
what should I do ?
alignment is also perfect.
Where can you feel the vibration? In the pedal, steering wheel, seats, dashboard, etc?
Could be a problem one of the driveshaft The joint could be worn or somebody could hit something and then something like the drive shafts pray it's not an internal transmission problem which It could also be
I check the joints with my mechanic and Lexus they are in good shape.
Anywhere else I should look.
The vibrations comes from all around once it hits the 45 mph
45mph? Pretty sure that's the exact spot where a failing torque converter will shake. Scotty covered this once. If it's not too bad, some people drive on it for years. But . . . you'll have to verify with a mechanic to not take a chance.
Hi Jose,
I have the exact same problem. Were you able to find the reason behind it? It will help me a lot if you did, please respond.
Thanks in advance.

Rather than "hijacking" someone else's topic to ask a question about your car problem, please post your own with a clear, concise description of the issue and all relevant details including diagnostic steps taken so far. Thank you.
