Hey there, I have a 2018 Lexus GX-460. The infotainment system is shutting on and off. Sometimes it works. The backup camera works all the time. I took it to the dealer, and was told it’s an internal short in the radio and the complete system must be replaced. The cost of the repair is $3500!! I’m an electrician so I understand circuitry, so it’s hard to accept an intermittent short. I could be wrong. I would think it’s a software issue that needs to be updated. There are aftermarket infotainment original systems available on EBAY, but I’m not comfortable purchasing from unknown venders. I have searched on the internet, but can not find anything relevant. Truthfully, I don't know anybody who works on those systems. There are so many good aftermarket systems. I would just advise you to go that route. Unless you know some real computer. Whiz who likes messing with software and hardware on those crazy systems. I used to know guys that would work on those things but they're all gone now. The cheaper aftermarket replacements just blew them away and they'd never get any business
