Gas smell in cabin following hard acceleration

Hi there,

I recently bought a 2015 Lexus GX 460. It has 110k miles on it  I've noticed a strong gas smell in the cabin following any hard acceleration (e.g., getting up to highway speed after a stop). The smells leaves after about 15-30 seconds. Does this mean there may be something else wrong with the car or is this not a big deal? If it's not a big deal, I can definitely live with this.

Thank you,

Ryan

You definitely want to have this looked at by a mechanic. You don’t want to be inhaling potentially toxic exhaust fumes.

Any other symptoms (bad gas mileage, loud exhaust noise, wet spots underneath the vehicle without the AC running?
