I have a 2005 Mazda 6 with 207,000 miles on it and it is an automatic car. Last week my car broke down while coming back from somewhere, at that time my car was shaking violently and there was some weird smell and check engine light was flashing and not moving. I pushed my car and stored it into the parking for a day or two and the next day I started my car and it started normally and it was running fine but after 30 min of driving it started giving the same issue, check engine light flashing, not moving, weird smell and violent shaking of the engine.
I called a mechanic and the OBD code shows some misfires but I do not know the reason for that. Can you please suggest what should I do and what might be the reason for the failure? I couldn't find anything online for this problem.

Can you please list all the codes that showed up on the scan tool?
Code showed misfires, check spark plugs, when was the last time you had a tune up? Codes were created for a reason, to identify the problem, and you should correct it!
