I have a Vstrom myself, but it's kind of hard to tell what may be clattering. Isn't your bike still under warranty? I would first check the valve clearance, and cam chain for excessive play. FYI this forum is Vstrom-specific, and I've found it very helpful https://www.stromtrooper.com/forums/

The V twin engines always makes noise. It is their nature.
