A photo would help (see our guide).

cut the links off with an angle grinder

I tried it. It didnt cut through the bolt

not sure how to post a picture here.

angle grinders cut through bolts like butter, so maybe you're doing something wrong.

our guide is the 1st link on our front page

how exactly do i need to cut it?

Nobody can tell you exactly because you provided zero information and I don't have telepathy.

What part did you cut? You really shouldn't be taking an angle grider to anything if you're not sure what you're doing. Sway bar links are easy to cut with an angle grinder, the two halves will fall right out when you're finished. That was one of the first things I did to my old Catalina after I got it running again. One of the links was completely missing, and the other was rusted in. I didn't feel like messing with 40+ year-old rust, so I gently cut the sway bar link out in about 30 seconds.

Did you try using mustard? What about ketchup or mayo? Bbq sauce?

put more heat maybe? You know the old saying, it can’t be stuck if it’s liquid…
