Switching from 5W-20 to 5W-30 Oil

I have a 2013 Ford F-150 4x4 Supercab, 5.0 V-8, 148000 miles. It calls for 5W-20 oil. I  also have a 2014 Nissan Murano which uses 5W-30. Would like to use same oil if possible. Nissan uses no oil and the F150 uses 1 quart everything 4500 miles. What are your thoughts?

They specified the oil weights as they did for a reason. Engineers know what they're doing. There's no benefit to switching, actually you will negatively impact your fuel economy a tiny amount because 5W-30 is thicker than 5W-20 and there's more flow resistance because of it. Oil journals, etc. are designed assuming 5W-20 is going in the engine as well. Thick oil doesn't flow through holes meant for thin oil, and that will result in increased engine wear.
