Hi Scotty
First off thanks for being a asset to the car community. I have a 2001 Toyota 4 Runner with 504,000 miles, first owner. This past year it gave me multiple codes and I’ve been able to tackle most of it, accept one. P0172. Rich in Bank 1. I’ve replaced the MAF sensor 3 times, the upstream and downstream O2 Sensors, fuel injectors 3 times, fuel regulator, Charcoal Canister, a bunch of hoses, spark plugs twice, spark plug wires, and all 3 spark plug coils twice. Just can’t seem to find the problem. I’ve taken it to mechanics and they can’t seem to figure it out either. The only thing I have not done is smoke the evap system just bought a smoke machine this morning. Do you have any recommendation? The T4R 96-98 and 99-02 has different throttle bodies, even the MAF sensor has different Part Numbers, along with the fuel injectors and other parts. I’ve replaced everything with OEM parts because of this. The only thing that’s not OEM is the air intake system. I’ve been trying what every mechanic keeps suggesting. Please help I’ve struggled with trying to fix my T4R for over a year.
Big fan.

The only thing that’s not OEM is the air intake system
What is it?
Yes, I’ve change the air filter and fuel filter also. The car doesn’t not have a cabin air filter.
Typical for after market so called "cold air" intake systems that totally mess up the engine. Get the stock air cleaner box, filter, snorkel assembly and related parts back on the car.
I plan to purchase a air box and resonator to replace the cold air intake at the end of the month. It will reduce with the smog station hassling me every two years with the carb sticker also.
