2006 Tacoma 2.7 5 speed manual transmission 4x4 365000 miles. My rpms rev up when I push in clutch to down shift from 5th to 4th.

I would check the TPS (throttle position sensor) Volt check for proper performing, clean the contacts.
It can sometimes cause problems like that.
If you haven't scanned it for any trouble codes yet, you should to that too.
