2003 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 181,000
While driving, the engine made a noise that I thought was the timing chain breaking. The engine died immediately. My mechanic verified the timing chain is fine. The timing is fine. No damage to valves or rockers. The mechanic did get it to start but it is barely idling. Now he said the exhaust is blowing back out of the intake manifold.
Please I need your advice

Did you scan the vehicle for any codes? Does your engine sound like it's misfiring?
