Hello Scotty, I live and work in Slovenia. I am a taxi driver and I would like to buy myself a limousine with an automatic transmission, so I am asking you for advice on which car you would recommend. The years that interest me are from 2016 to 2018 to be a diesel or whatever you think is good thank you from the bottom of my heart Christian.

From what is avaliable in those years, I'd go for a Škoda Superb or Mazda 6. Perhaps Volvo S90 could be decent but you will have to charge your customers way more money.
there's nothing quite like a Mazda6, just a magnificent car.
Interesting fact is their NA petrol and diesel engines have same compression ratio (14:1).
@dan do you perhaps know how long they hold? Has Mazda perhaps resolved DPF problems?

Well, I think that Japanese diesels are not a good idea - most of them are very rare and not that well built. I don’t know whats going on with the DPF issues… and yep , the compression on modern petrols is high
but mazda engines seem to hold their own pretty well. I’ve seen some Mazda6 with petrols (non-turbo, I’m really not sure on Mazda turbo engines) go beyond 300k km with their original engines and transmissions and have little to no wear.
But can’t say much on the new Mazda3, there are rumors of poor quality and that’d be a huge shame…
Try an six door type lada, they seem indestructible & cheap. Dunno if they were ever automatic however.
This has diesel Octavia/Superb written all over it.
Skoda Octavias are basically the default choice for taxi drivers.

In this case, limousine is what Americans call sedans or Brits call saloons. The Octavia in its basic form is a limousine.
It's a linguistic thing, I can somewhat speak the language and we call sedans "limuzinas"

Automatic diesel Octavias are avaliable as caravans (station wagon for Americans) as I know. Among limos Superb is avaliable.
