Hello Scotty , Like the Education and pics you throw up on the sacreen ; I have a 1994 Dodge Van B250 with a 318 Y engine , and 214767 miles . I'm tracking down a check engine light . I done the ign. switch code check and get 12 .32, 27 codes , I tried plugging in a 12volt lamp into the injector plugs and get a dim light on each while engine is running , changed EGR valve , dist. cap / rotor and plug wires , plugs look good , ck. engine light sometimes goes away for short trips but ultimately returns , also I believe I smell unburnt fuel when driving when that light is on . I do not need to smog test in my county , could a TBI code be from a bad fuel cap ? What should I test next ? Thank You for your time , Mike
Well a bad fuel cap isn't going to do all those codes. Rather than gas. I'd advise finding someone who has a Dodge a scan tool that will access information so it can be analyzed logically and not just guessing. A lot of guys have old snap-on scanners that will get a reasonable amount of data out of that old 94
