just bought a 2002 trailblazer at what ponit does it not become cost effective to replace parts on a 20 year old vehicle in good condition with cosmetic rust ?

Basically depends on what shape it's in. And of course I wouldn't be throwing engines or transmissions and the thing would be more money than it's worth
