2002 Mazda millennia 2.5 engine

I just got my car fixed and before I went down everything worked. It's been sitting over 4 years. Now that the car works..my gauges on my dash doesn't move or light up when I turn on my lights. Also my transmission have to be on D2 to move and in neutral to go in reverse. Only I got done was dropped a used motor and changed out my fuel pump. Can you help me please on what to do

Well putting in a motor is a big deal. You could easily have messed up all kinds of wiring and cables and sensors. Start by checking the automatic transmission cable. I'm assuming it probably got bent or stretched when the job was done and that will make a lot of those things occur

Well, changing an engine out is a big job and I'm assuming wiring god damaged or in the case of your transmission, the shifter cable probably is either bent or stretched out and that'll make it have to start in those different positions.
