When did the chrome era end? I remember people used to show off how much chrome were on their vehicles. Nowadays, everyone likes it blacked-out, from rims to window trims. I still think chrome still has it attractiveness.

Fashion - vinyl roofs, opera windows, two-door cars, hood scoops, white wall tires, big spoilers, etc. are in style, then they are out of style. Plastic covered bumpers and exteriors without chrome strips are cheaper and easier to produce, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
