I hate when people keep calling their SUVs truck.... They aren't trucks... They are SUVs. I saw someone who drove a Nissan Rogue this morning, and he called it a truck. I live in South AL and everyone here does that {black}:scared:
Well, some SUVs have the chassis of a pickup truck (body on frame) and they’re sometimes called truck based SUVs. EX: Toyota 4Runner has a chassis from a Tacoma. These type of SUVs are usually more capable off road. Nowadays, SUVs now have the chassis of a sedan rather than a truck (unibody). They’re sometimes also called crossovers and they aren’t as capable off road as body on frame SUVs
A real SUV is a truck, like an old 4Runner or Pathfinder. Most modern "SUV"s are CUVs (crossovers) and are cars.
Go to a parts store to get parts for your Lexus RX350 and they will refer to it as a truck. Go figure.
Happens all the time. However, I share your sentiment on it.
