My 1999 hyundai accent has a 2 ported thermal switch(thermal vacuum switch) bolted to the intake manifold.
This switch has 2 pipes connected to its ports and their ends are connected to the carburetor. Can you please explain to me what is the use of this switch? The engine runs fine but I wish to know the function of this switch out of curiosity because the local mechanic doesn't know. Thanks

A 1999 Accent does not have a carburetor, at least not in the U.S. market.
