Realize the newer Volvos nowadays are nothing like the much older ones (which could last).  They are owned now by Chinese company Geely and are very high tech cars.  As it ages when the powertrain/electronics do have issues in the future it will start to become a money pit outside of warranty.  So my recommendation is if you like, lease it or if you buy it keep it under warranty (perhaps even an extended warranty) then get rid of it.

Simple: … forget about it! Those cars - the whole Volvo line - are trouble from the very start, … and that trouble never ends.
