For my first vehicle I have a 1999 Ford F150 with just over 200,000 miles, but it is very rusty, and it runs fine it was $500. Will it last long?

$500 is not much for a truck and the F-150 is a decent truck but there is a reason for that cheap price, which you said is that it is very rusty. So I'd skip and look for one in better condition if you can.
