What are member’s experiences with Duralast Gold battery from Autozone?  My battery (Interstate) recently died and I am thinking of trying Duralast for the first time.

This guy does some interesting tests of the different brands of batteries. Though I find his narration a little tiring, from his other videos, I've found his tests to offer a lot of good info,

Meh, they’re supposedly better than the basic ones but I’ve had many returned and swapped when I used to work at AZ.

My suggestion is go to Advance Auto Parts and get an AGM battery, as new as possible (check the date sticker), with the highest CCAs compatible with your battery size. It’s more costly but more reliable for sure.

These upmarket Duralast battery's are the same ones as VARTA automotive - great batteries, that's what I install in my cars.

I use Varta's cheapest option, the Blue Dynamic - which should be equivalent to Duralast's Gold.

(Duralast is made by Johnson Controls, source https://www.manorracing.com/who-makes-duralast-batteries .

Yeah go with the costco or everstart maxx. I pulled an everstart maxx from 2013 out of my matrix about 8 months ago, still working. Same battery as duralast gold, just a lot cheaper.

I get OEM whenever I can. Just had really good experience with them. My current one has been in there 7 years.

I personally get the Walmart Everlast Max

I usually go with Interstate batteries at Costco. And they have served me well over the past two decades of using them. They are supposedly the same manufacturer as the AutoZone Duralast according to the video @glen_stet shared. So guess AutoZone Duralast is decent.
