Hi! My current daily driver is a Toyota 4Runner Limited 2000 4x2 with 270,000 miles, still rides well on the awful roads of Puerto Rico. I'm in love with the new (Hyundai) Genesis GV70 interior. It has 10 years warranty but I know it will depreciate a lot. What are your thoughts?
God bless you! Thanks

Really? The steering wheel is odd, The screen is awkwardly stuck on, it's just... odd.
It looks as if someone tried to redesign what the PT cruisers interior should have been.
The climate control isn't done with buttons but a touchscreen that's far from you.

Hyundai-Kia used to have interiors with very small dashboards and center consoles that made them roomy and practical - this is not that, it's as if they were trying to waste as much interior space as possible.

A POWERTRAIN waranty... what about the rest?
Something tells me that such a complex car with have plenty of issues with non-powertrain related items.
Hyundai, Kia and Genesis have come a long way since the early 2000s, but recently they seem to be tanking in quality again. As amazing as this sounds, your 2000 4Runner will probably last longer then that Genesis will. I said that about my 04 Camry and other peoples cars. It still holds true. Everyone around me keeps getting new cars, and my old Toyota still runs better (and looks better imo) then all of them.
If you really want one of those it would be best to lease it so you don't have a long-term commitment. They tend to start falling apart after a few years.
Pass on Hyundai Motor Group Products: we are currently not recommending any of their products. They have plenty of quality issues even under warranty.

While I don’t recommend the Genesis, but just judging by the interior and build quality, it seems solid in that respect. I wish Toyota and Honda in their Lexus and Acura lineup would have something just as nice and thought out.
As long as their long term reliability and total cost of ownership, the track record of Hyundai doesn’t seem too great. But you never know!
If you do get it, let us know how it goes. Especially years down the line.
Their track history is horrible. I would just stay away.
