Hey Scotty I have a 1997 Volkswagen Golf with 144,550 miles automatic transmission. When I’m driving or in idle waiting at a light i hear a ticking/clicking like noise coming from the dashboard/ignition area it would do that for a few seconds then stop for a couple seconds then it would do it again what could it be? How can I fix this? Thank you in advance

Sounds like you may have a relay acting up in the dash somewhere.
If you aren't having any issues, I would live with it. Pulling apart the dash and checking relay switches is a real pain in the neck.
