- Hello I have a 2009 Silverado 2500 hd 6.0 101k when standing on either side I hear a ticking noise hot or cold I don't hear anything standing in front of the truck got truck w 74 k it's done it the whole time it's stayed the same when it's been running for a long time pulling a 9k trailer its quiet any thoughts thanks

January that's a problem with the hydraulic lifters or a little valve where any engine those engines in notorious for that. If you want make a YouTube video and post the URL here and I will listen I've heard about every noise a car can make
