What’s your thoughts on buying a new VW Tiguan 2.0T SE 4motion AWD? I know you have mentioned reliability concerns in your previous videos and was wondering if this applied to their new vehicles. Thank you for your time
Though their reliability is, as mentioned by @g-t, basically unknown, VW does not have a good track record. I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending one to anyone.
No one knows about new cars but I think this one is not an exemption of reliability.
If you are seriously interested in that vehicle and knowing that the newer ones have even more (over-engineered) tech than before, I strongly recommend you lease it and return before the warranty expires. That way, anything that goes wrong it’s VW’s to fix on their dime. But I cannot recommend anyone actually purchase their products; it’s smarter to just lease it.
