Hello,

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier, auto, V6 with 87,000 miles. Nissian recommends changing the timing belt at about  100,000.  Should I replace the timing belt because of the age of the vehicle or just wait till about 100,000?

Yes, it is a good idea to change it.

I would change it now, belts degrade with time and yours is 21+ years now.

Thank you!
