2013 BMW 1 Series, 120,000 KM's
Hi Scotty, Should I consider replacing the timing chain on the car as recommended by BMW after 100,000 KM's.
When you have a 'non-interference' engine, you can wait till the belt breaks (hopefully on the drive at your house).
Otherwise I would start selling valuable gear you have, to earn money for the engine-repair...
Mine is an interference engine.

Good that you have a timing chain instead of a belt. Chains make noise when their worn.
Timing chains typically last the life of the engine.
I see these cars have a chain; I was misled by the 'bmw change interval'.
Sorry for that.
Strange, they advise a replacement interval, as a chain is supposed to last a car's life
They just wanna make some coin, even if the repair is unnecessary.
