How long does it take to replace timing chain and all of its components??

It's a big job.Try searching "Ford 4.6 L Modular V8" on Youtube.
Why do you want to replace the timing chain? Is there something wrong with your engine?
Engine is fine. Ran great. Just started to hear a sound that sounded like a timing chain. Stopped making sound when it was revved up. Had car towed to mechanic.

Chain tensioner might have carbon, try carbon cleaner.
It was the timing chain, also needed to pull off oil pan to be sure no plastic from the guides had gotten through.
