Hello Scotty,
I would like to tell you that I have had same issue with a 2014 chevy Cruze with 1.4L turbo getting knock sensor code. My mechanic found orange Timing chain guide bolts have come very lose. This causes timing chain to jump and chatter, same issue you had with costumer you help with chevy sonic. Once my mechanic tightened bolt down corrected issue running good again. Thought you might like to know if you ever experienced this before on over Chevy’s. Thanks again for all your help you do!!
