Greetings,

I have the above truck. It has 40k miles on it, and is solid. However, the original owner apparently didnt have any maintenance done other that changing the oil.
I have to replace the carb, and it is pretty much shot with corrosion. The carb is a Rochester Varajet II #17084429. I have found a new old stock, but it is a 17084427. The only difference I can see is that it has the bracket for the electronic fast idle solenoid. My question is, will this carb work as a replacement for my original? Or is it meant for another engine, as these have been used on four cylinder engines for other car companies.

What the heck you can try it all vehicle like that you can rig all kinds of things and if you find it doesn't work my experience you can put on a nice replacement Edelbrock carburetor that works great
