I have Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI 122 HP DSG, feb 2010 registered.
When starting the engine i hear rattling sound for 20-30 seconds seconds and then it sounds normal. car runs fine. it has done 70000 kms so far. I got it diagnosed at Skoda Service center and they said the timing chain has loosened up and it will take around 2500 Euros to get it replaced. He however said, since it is making noise at cold start so no need to panic as I can still drive for say next 60K miles.
Not sure if I should drive my car with timing chain issue.

Get it fixed before it destroys your engine, like TODAY!
