Today i bought 4 all season tires for my 2010 honda accord ex. 225/50 r17

all 4 are coopers. 2 of them are liek new DOT 2019 with plenty of thread and other 2 are low thread and look off balanced DOT 2015

I spent 250 cad so 200 USD on all 4 including Honda OEM alloys and TPMS.

my question is are the 2 low thread tires good enough for another season? i could go to a kenny u pull and get 2 like new tires few year old off DOT for about 130$ USD still making it a very good purchase all together...

Why did you agree to buy the 2 bad tyres? They have uneven tread wear, they’re both worn down to the tread wear indicators on 1 side, and I’m pretty sure won’t last a full season, unless you don’t drive at all.

These will be extremely dangerous to use in the snow/wet..

You’ll need 2 new tyres, unless hydroplaning is your best friend.

Use a depth gauge to find out the actual tread depth. Eyeballing it, gives me the above conclusion.

yeah i know but i got a good deal overall cause i need summer tires right now. already have winters on original alloys. spending a bit for good used one isnt a problem just had to ask thanks

Yeah, in that case, get 2 more as you don’t want to put your life at risk over 2 tyres. Good luck!

thanks again
