Hey Scotty, how are ya? I have a 2000 Trans Am auto with the 4L60E and it has ~65,000 miles right now. I drive it pretty easy but still give her some gas here and there. Is it too late to change the fluid do you think? It won't be a flush, just what's on the pan and changing the filter.
I just checked your owner's manual and they want you to change the fluid AND filter every 50,000 miles. Have you ever done it? You're a bit late, but it's not a lost cause. Might as well do that filter too.
Yes it does appear a bit late for tranny oil change but you can definitely try it out. Just remember to save the old tranny fluid so that you can put the old one back if the new fluid does not work.
