Hey Scotty , I want to tow a Subaru Ourback behind motorhomes . I am working for a RV transport Co. I need a wagon type vehicle but my minivan is too big they say. What would you advise ? Note i plan to sleep in the vehicle an put batteries or a battery pack an some panels on it plus a isolater to charge the batteries while driving . also what lighting setup while towing would you recomend. Thank you so much for your videos! I use you for a resource for everything Auto related. Lew.

If you're going to tow a vehicle behind an RV, a Subaru is probably not the best choice. All Subarus are full-time AWD, and as such, would be damaged by towing with any of the wheels on the ground. You COULD tow it on a trailer or dolly's, but that would have drawbacks, too, or get a drivetrain disconnect, but I have never heard of one for Subarus.

I would invest in a flatbed trailer. That way, you can basically tow whatever you want with no wheels being rolled.

Don’t! It’s the worst possible idea to tow a 4WD vehicle of any type! 2WD manual transmission-equipped cars are the only ones that are safe to tow. Still, … I don’t think those were designed to be tow, either. fwiw
