toyota 3.5L V-6 Non-Interference

I looked this up, they always give the ''asterisk''  dont know why.     *3.5L V-6 Non-Interference     this is what I am looking at buying in an older rav4. Anything bad about this engine.

I haven't heard of any real problems with the 3.5L motors. The asterisk likely is because there is advice in the manual that only applies to the V6 as opposed to the 4 cylinder, etc. But so far as I've heard they are solid.

Pretty good engines way better than the 4 cylinders in some of the older Toyota designs some cars come with a 4 cylinder and OPTIONAl 3.5 V6 and that is probably why the put the asterisk.
