I'm looking for a used car to buy some of available options to me are

Honda civic 2009 Ex coupe 2d with 164,500miles for $4,000

Honda Accord 2007 has 166,847 miles on it, runs and drives great!  $3050.

Hyundai sonata 2.4L GLS (2009), ($4,000) Automatic transmission, 126,464 mile

Based on the prices, mileage and overall reputation of these cars which would you recommend?

I’d narrow it down to the Accord or Civic, assuming everything checks out. And if one uses a timing chain rather than a timing belt, I’d go that direction. I can’t remember what generation Honda switch out their 4 cylinder timing mechanism.

A slight edge goes to the civic if it is the EX. But I’d compare the trim and see which I liked better.

Is the sonata any good though?

I don't have first hand experience with the Sonata. I've had Accords and Civics in the family, and many friends have them too. And they seem to be relatively reliable cars for the most part.
