Now I only have 3 of these Avalon's in my area...the best one I found is a 2001 Toyota Avalon XLS 3.0L V6
Has 169k...looks pretty close to my previous car which was a 2001 Toyota Solara that someone totalled...but this one is fancy...$3,895...What do you think?
Too much for an old, high mileage vehicle.
As with any used car, be sure to have it thoroughly inspected by a professional mechanic, before you buy it.
These things last you know...it's a Toyota for crying out loud
I agree. Too much.
Where in my post did I say it’s at the end of it’s life? I said it’s too high of a price for a 20yr high mileage vehicle. If a mechanic checks it out, it may still have 50-60% of useful life remaining.
These things can go over 400k but ok...not saying I agree with you cuz I did research, it's absolutely no different from the Toyota Camry...what other car do you recommend otherwise?
I think you’re misunderstanding my definition of ‘high mileage’. That car is high mileage when it comes to price, but low mileage when referring to a Toyota product. So you’re absolutely correct when saying it can easily go past 400-500,000 miles. What I’m saying is - the seller is asking too much. Try and get the price down, as best you can. Like you said, apart from the Avalon, look at a Camry or some Lexus products.
It's too much, $2500 max and thats if everything is in great mechanical shape for its age. Will you be willing to look at other models if the Avalons are overpriced like this one?
