Should I buy a 3rd party warranty for a 2020 Toyota Avalon?

Hi, we plan on getting an avalon 2020 limited this week 55,000 miles, my inlaw had a talk with them and they are recommending getting warranty, so we don't plan on keeping it past 5 years or 150k miles, would we need this warranty? We are thinking of opting out on everything these cars are reliable and we don't keep them long term( the car is certified, do they really do a thorough inspection and repairs and have it approved by toyota as they claim or is it a scam), also we did get warranty on our previous camry xse and didn't even use it cause we upgraded to the avalon at 90k miles on the camry.

Thank you in advance for your insights.

Yeah don't waste your money on a warranty. Just pay a mechanic to check it out to make sure it's in good shape before you buy it. That's your warranty

Good Morning

Thank you scotty.
