Hello Scotty I own a 2018 LE Camry, it only has 41k miles and I am the only owner. In the last 1 year started having a failure with the windshield wipers, they get activated if I turn the crossing lights on, at the beginning was only the left one, now both. Is annoying and nobody seems to know how to fix it. Any advice?
Thanks in advance!
All of those things are computer controlled. Make sure your battery and alternator are in good condition (low voltage makes computer modules funny in the head). Check grounds. If those functions are all operated from the same control stalk check to see if the switches are operating properly.
If it's not something simple like the above you are going to need a real mechanic capable of doing in-depth computer module diagnostics using a professional-grade bidirectional scan tool.
If nobody you've talked to knows how to fix the problem you're talking to the wrong people.
I bet it's the multi-function switch. Take it apart and clean it.
