Hey so I’ve recently got an engine replacement because the previous engine’s head gasket went out. It’s a 2014 Toyota Camry LE. The new engine is now making this noise. Is it because it still has to go through its first oil change or is it something else? The engine has 91,000 miles and has a one year warranty. Toyota dealer said to drive atleast 500 miles and the noise will be gone. Do I still take it in ?
You bought a used engine and it's making noise. They're just hoping the noise goes away. I doubt if it will. It is not a new engine. It is a used engine and a used engine that makes noise has problems. It doesn't need to be broken in
