Hey Scotty et al!
I have a 2016 Chevy Equinox with ~127,000 miles on it. I was wondering if there was a certain interval to replace shocks/struts? My family and I have had several vehicles, including many Hondas / Dodge Ram vehicles where we’ve never replaced them (several of our Hondas have well over 200k miles, one is at 352k right now). However, I was just curious if there is a rule of thumb to replace them, or just replace them if they go bad?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Does the vehicle/s feel unstable on the highway or when cornering or over speed bumps?
There is no point in wasting money if they are still in good condition and functioning as intended. Replace them when they go bad, not before. Who knows, they might last another 100K without any issues.
