I'm thinking of getting a toyota celica 7th generation. Of the two engine options, the 2zz-ge seems to fail at a high rate for a Toyota.
How does the less-powerfull 1zz-fe compare? I have also read that this engine has an oil-burning problem. Is it true, and does it affect the longevity of the engine in the same way as the 2zz?

This generation had issues. I'd look for the generation Scotty owns.

Yeah, the engine of this generation has some issues. I would consider a previous generation.
