I have a 2019 Corolla se that never gets above 28mpg no matter how efficient I drive. I get better mileage in my accord. What’s the reason behind this? It used to get better mileage when it was new, should I go to the dealer? It has 20,000 miles
Unless you are doing all city driving/short trips, you should be getting mileage in the 30s. Check/replace the air filter. Check for dragging brakes, misalignment (uneven tire wear). If you don't see any problems with these, I'd get good scan tool on it to see what the problem is.
Let me note that I personally drive a Matrix, and though I usually get 35 mpg or so, because of the pandemic, I'm mostly taking very short trips to the store, dentist, etc. and getting crappy mileage - but a tank of gas lasts months!
That’s fine. My 2010 Corolla runs 18mpg. Your is acceptable.
