I've been on the lookout for a newer economy car (2019-2020 range) and I'm torn between the hatchback or the sedan. I understand they're basically the same vehicle with different body styles but I don't have a family to carry around so I'm just wondering the pros and cons of both to help me make a decision, thank you.

Given used car prices those would be the almost the same price or sometimes even more than a new one so you might just want to consider brand new.

With the hatchback you get more cargo space. If you're a single person then it depends on if you need/want the extra cargo space or no. After that it's just the looks of it.
most people who care about practicality get the hatch
