Hello everyone,

Question: Is there a difference in quality between a Toyota Corolla LE 2021 fully made in Japan vs. Some of the parts made in Japan and assembled in United States?
(Happens to be the Japanese made model is a color that cost a little bit more Then the one assembled in United States)

Please tell me what you guys think. Thank you so much for everything!

Made in Japan ones are supposed to be better made. But when we were searching for a new Corolla several weeks ago, I noticed many used ones for sale and they were about a 50/50 split with the Japan built vs US built. We got an SE built in US with 6spd manual. I also noticed the same with Tacoma's as well, split between MX, US, JP. Nowadays; you do your research, make the best informed decision and hope for the best.

There might be a difference in quality, but imo not enough for you to not buy one because its made in the US. Just get whichever trim you like best paired to whatever color. Japanese made ones are supposed to be better made, like sometimes North American made ones have a few issues here and there, but not as significant of a difference as you might think.

If you like the Corolla LE made in Japan, then get that. If you like a different trim, get a different one.

Thank you so much for your insight. Makes me feel better about going for the American Built one.
