I have a toyota corolla station wagon 2000 model, 1.4 liter, engine 4zz-fe. It has traveled about 249,000 miles and is still going very well. It is well taken care of with oil changes and services. It's perhaps one of the best cars I've had. It uses neither oil nor water. Has only replaced wear parts such as timing chain tensioners, brakes, etc. Clutch and gears work well. How far do you think this car can go ? There is a little rust underneath, but nothing dangerous ..
Keep maintaining it and 300,000 to 400,000 miles or even more is not out of the question, though expect to continue replacing wear items. Keep an eye on that rust, maybe treat it with Fluid Film or something similar to slow the spread.
Ok. Thanks for the reply. These are very good cars. I shall remember what you said about rust. i have put on some similar like fluid film, so hopefully it will slow down the rust a bit. That is the downside of used cars. Any previous owners who have not been so careful with washing..
