Looking at both a new 2021 corolla and camry. Corolla has the cvt, camry has the 8 speed transmission. Which will be more reliable in the long run?

I would go for the camera and I would go for the a speed

The CVT can last 200 300 500k miles no doubt about that. The 8 speed was troublesome in the 2018 Camry but they fixed it and is now really good. In fact, the AISIN 8 speed is used in many new Volvo's and they are prefectly reliable when it comes to the transmission no more weird issues. I mean Scotty would say both can last but Camry's are such a better vehicles I would go for the Camry. The Corolla's are good but I wouln't get a new one.
