Would it be smarter to buy an Avalon , Lexus or a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser with 190k plus Miles on it for 9000? I heard the fjs can last 500k plus? I’m heading to college and I have a 10k budget. 2013 Lexus es350 2013 Toyota Avalon or a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.. What mileage range should I be looking in for the other two as well

Answered your other question in different post for Lexus/Avalon. As for the FJ Cruiser, it's a big heavy suv..it will be the worst for fuel economy so will cost more in gas if you're going to drive a lot.

Still say you should get the Avalon.

An FJ listed at 9000 seems low at any miles. I would try to find out why.

FJ isn't a good first car. Parts like the windshield can get expensive because of design and forget about efficiency. Again, Avalon.

Go with the Toyota Avalon as the total cost of ownership should be lower for the Avalon compared to the other two (luxury car Lexus and gas hog SUV).

Get the Toyota Avalon for less maintenance costs and good first car. The FJ Cruiser is bad for gas mileage. Buy the FJ Cruiser as your second car in the future not now.

I would get the 2013 es350 because they look the most modern of the three. The avalon is pretty similar, but I just think the es350 is better layed out and more luxurious. The fj cruiser wastes a lot of gas, has no luxury, is harder to drive, requires more maintneance, not as practical than a midsize luxury sedan. The avalon and the es350 are really reliable and I believe you can get one for 12k with about 100k miles, which is 70% off msrp. The es350 also has 270hp and a 6 speed automatic, which is more than the fj's 235 hp on a way heavier car.
