3 mechanics already and too much money spent

Toyota highlander 2017 se

Code p0441

106k miles  automatic

The fuel pump has also been charged

So I'm getting a p0441 code which is the EVAP, purchased a new part worked great for a few days then the code came back.

Proceeded to purchase a gas cap ( from Toyota) also bringing back the purge valve for warranty... few hours later same code

System has also been smoke tested.

Little lost here!

already out over 1k for repairs

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance

Sean

Well I'd say move to Tennessee. They didn't do any type of testing for that and you could drive the car forever and it isn't going to affect anything. That's what we do here in Tennessee. Now if you want it fixed, you're going to have to find a guy like me who knows what he's doing. It's a very expensive scan tool who can do bi-direction and old testing of the system. It can be in the wiring. It could be in the computer system. It could be a leak anywhere in the EVamp system which goes all the way from the gas tank up to the front of the engine. My advice would at least have a mechanic do that testing and hook up a smoke machine to see where smoke is leaking from if it's got a leak. Obviously you have been dealing with idiots who don't know how to work on the car if they were real mechanics. They do what I just told you and they would have found the problem without just guessing with parts
