- I got a 2016 Toyota Rav4 Limited really love it but just recently started displaying a "Parking Assist Malfunction" message. The dealer says it could cost north of $500. Is this something I can troubleshoot myself without special equipment or should I take it in? Any ideas?

Well that is that stupid parking assistant where it helps you park your car I personally never use that nonsense myself and wouldn't waste any money to fix it. But there are no real user serviceable items on that thing unless your car is really covered with mud in which case the sensors are covered you could just clean it off

Thanks Scotty. I found a way to turn off the feature and it made the message go away. Im gonna go with your suggestion to not spend money on it. 🤣
